State One of Elisa’s Bookplate 2

Ellsworth ExLibris State One
The first state of the bookplate is complete.  I have regrounded the plate and will strengthen some of the edges and clean up a few anomalies.  I changed the position of the bird to show more clearly that it is flying, the keys spinning in the air before it.  Ravens have this peculiar slope shouldered silhouette when they’re flying that I found particularly fascinating, though I chose to downplay it a little here.  I’m seeing the raven less as an omen of ill fortune, more as an enigmatic symbol of mystery or metaphysical power.  You go girl!
