One of the pieces that I will be exhibiting in the upcoming group exhibition “Vessels” at the Crestwood Gallery in Roanoke Indiana.  The opening is Friday, June 14th, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.  Hope some of you can make it.

“Still Life with Reflection” is a pastel measuring 12””.5” x 37.5”.  When I was the drawing I was intrigued by the fact that the mirror hanging on the wall behind the dog’s head revealed a reflection of the rest of the room.  I deliberately positioned one of my paintings “Green Girl with Fou Dog” (also in the show) so that it could participate in the dialogue, an interesting idea that could well show up in future works.
