I’ve started a new pastel measuring 37” high. The drawing is blocked in using compressed charcoal pencils and is now ready for the application of pastel. Compositional issues have been worked out as well as most of the most difficult drawing challenges.

Preparations for the first painting in the series proceed. The finished theater has movable side panels that can be swiveled on dowels. Scene One will show a quaint Alpine village in which the inhabitants confront a mysterious stranger.
